Planning & Control Leader – Financial Services

Job description

The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will manage a team of about 6 people based in Italy.

Main Responsibilities 

• Coordination of the Planning and Controlling function through the preparation of the Annual Budget And Quarterly / Monthly Forecasts for the Group in Italy.

• Collaboration with the Head of Administration and with the Group Global Business Share for Monthly Accounting Closures (reporting package) and related variance analysis.

• Preparation of monthly reporting to the Group and to the main shareholders in coordination with the Regional Finance Office.

• Definition and monitoring of the Cost Structure (recovery costs, personnel costs and other administrative costs) and related deviations analysis, in collaboration with all the other departments.

• Support to the CFO in the activity of continuous performance monitoring of the business: strong relationship  with the Direct Reports to the CEO, monitoring volumes of expected collections, monitoring of risks and opportunities.

• Preparation of Dashboards and KPIs to support the Senior Mgmt and the two Stakeholders

• Profitability Analysis and other ad hoc analysis

Education & personal skill 

• Degree in Economic or Management Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral
• Strong managerial skills (previous experience in managing work groups), strong team working attitude
• Strong decision-making and organizational skills with a proactive attitude to problem solving
• Hard-worker and fast learner

Competencies

• Prior experience of about 10 years gained at least half in the P&C function in structured contexts operating preferably in the Financial Services sector or Consulting
• Good ability to use the MS Office package (Excel and PowerPoint);
• Knowledge and application of Italian accounting standards and IAS;
• Welcome experience on Credits and NPL portfolios
