Senior Sales Manager Personal Care

Job description

Our customer is a global specialty chemicals company with manufacturing plants, research centers and additional facilities in twenty-three countries.

Directly reporting to the Business Manager Personal Care, we are looking for an experienced B2B sales manager that will consolidate the market presence and drive the future growth.

Senior Sales Manager Personal Care      

  • Develops and implements sales strategy for Personal Care raw materials and selected Distribution activities across the Italy and Greece, with input from the Regional Sales Manager/Business Manager and appropriate Sales Director. Aligned with the business strategy and designed to meet agreed targets .
  • Responsible for the sales and, to the extent possible, gross profit performance across the product range within Italy and Greece. Monitors sales and gross profit and takes corrective actions as appropriate. Identifies potential and scope for business development
  • Manages resources and sales activities within the Italy and Greece, including the flow of technical service requests from customers and information regarding products, customer requirements and competitor activitY.
  • Identifies new attractive customers and develops profitable sales in line with the Performance Chemicals business growth strategy within EMEA using network of contacts in the market area
  • Manages the ongoing relationship with existing customers and distributor accounts to secure sustainable business streams.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with the technical service, supply chain and product management, organisations to achieve the agreed plans.
  • Manages the preparation of customer quotations, negotiates, and implements the terms of Service Level Agreements with customers.
  • Works on forecasting on a monthly base.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements

  • Science degree (desirable)
  • Min 5 years sales management experience in Italian personal care market
  • Proven track record of personal care sales in Italy
  • Preferable experience of global account management
  • Italian plus English (fluent)
  • Optimal candidate should have high level of initiative and creativity with innate attention to details, manage and organize data, work well both within team environment and under own initiative, always maintaining a clear sense of priorities and focus.

Ability to travel: travel time will be at least 60-70%
