Our Client is a German based chemical producer, specialized in plastic polymers’ additives.On its behalf we are looking for a

Managing Director

Who shall direct and control the Italian’s entity operations, including production, give strategic guidance and direction to ensure the company achieves its mission and objectives.

On top of an accurate and attentive economical and financial management, the profile will undertake the company legal representation.

The profile must have strong technical knowledge in grafted polymers, or in plastic polymers’ additives.

We are looking for a senior profile, with a proven experience in technical sales on the B2B plastic industry and teams management skills: the preferred candidate shall come from the raw material market, either from speciality chemicals producers or distributors.

 Mission of the position:

  • Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
  • Taking direct responsibility for strategic sales, managing Key Accounts
  • Supervising, guiding, and delegating executives in their duties
  • Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities
  • Overseeing the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures
  • Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are met, clearly communicated and executed
  • Plan and execute the international development of the business
  • Reporting to the board, providing market insights and strategic advice

 Expertise:

  • Bachelor in chemistry or chemical engineering - a master would be a plus
  • Strong technical background, possibly gained in R&D, application laboratory or productions roles
  • Long and proven experience in technical sales management in the plastic additives B2B market by both chemical producers or distributors
  • Long term management of large and diversified teams
  • An experience as a general director or in a similar role will be a plus
  • Proficient use of English

 Reporting:

  • Direct reporting to the Group CEO for all Italian operations
  • Direct reporting to Plastic Additives Business Unit Manager for the sales activity
