Senior Business Development Manager Italy

General description of the Role:

Senior Business Development Manager will drive new business revenue in Italy sourcing opportunities across multiple types of clients. He/ she will report to the Sales Team Lead - Southern Europe and will help design and execute the team’s sales and growth strategy. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions, PSPs, FinTech companies
  • Generate sales and create new business opportunities, while managing sales processes and together with central functions reach a final commercial agreement
  • Lead workshops and meetings with key customer stakeholders to better identify client needs and match them with Company offering
  • Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the region and drive successful marketing projects
  • Represent the Company at conferences and other public speaking events
  • Analyse results, the Company operations and customer needs and identify opportunities to improve technologies, systems, processes, and programs
  • Work closely with central operations; marketing, strategy, analytics, legal, engineering, finance in order to reach the market’s full potential

Professional background:

  • 5+ years experience successful experience from SaaS sales/business development/sales management/consulting
  • Background in consultative sales, driving custom terms to closure and strong understanding of pricing frameworks
  • Experience working directly with large enterprise customers to win opportunities

Education/personal skills:

  • A continuous track record of achieving ambitious sales targets and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
  • Hands on mentality, able to balance long term strategic work with operations and execution
  • Entrepreneurial self starter, high-paced and ability get things done
  • Strong teamwork and people skills
  • Pragmatic thinker with strong interpersonal skills
  • Native/fluent in Italian and English
