As a result of continued high growth, we are now looking to find a

Senior Business Development Manager – Payments Sales

to drive business development in Italy. Together with the Souther Europe team the candidate will play a vital role in fully establishing Tink as the number one player in the Italy. 

The candiate will be positioned as an expert in open banking and the transformation that the financial industry is going through. As a crucial member of Tink’s Business Development Team, you will help design and execute the team’s sales and growth strategy. 

This includes owning deal lifecycles for large, transformational, and enterprise opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for development, deal lifecycle management, and driving cross-organisational alignment. This role requires a background in consultative sales, driving custom terms to closure, a strong understanding of pricing frameworks, and experience working directly with large enterprise customers to win opportunities. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Build our customer portfolio by driving sales activities in Italy
  • Drive revenue growth and generate new sales, upselling and cross-selling with our existing customers
  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions, PSPs and Platforms
  • Identify our key customers’ business models and target opportunities for innovation – to deliver an outstanding product tailored to their needs
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop valuable, strategic relationships
  • Plan and drive the sales process from initial contact all the way to contract signature

Requirements: 

  • A degree within Business Administration/ Finance or Engineering
  • 5+ years of working experience
  • Ability to manage client contacts on senior level
  • Experience working in ambiguous, quickly scaling environments
  • Preferably background from Business Development at a SaaS/tech company
  • Experience in managing contract negotiations
  • Strong people skills and ability to adapt to different stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills, fluent in English and Italian
  • You should be eligible to work in Italy
