Our Client is a innovative financial technology player enabling Banks and Retailers to access a multitude of payment services within a single API.
On its behalf we are looking for the
General Manager Italy
Mission:
to take over the Italian team, the most advanced international market in the company, and bring it to a new height of success! The position will have disciplinary responsibility over the Italian team (3FTE), P&L responsibility over the Italian market and responsibility over the full Italy marketing, communication and integration budget.
Activity:
- Supporting the resources in the team such as:
- the Senior banking Manager, to enable him/her to win local banking accounts with the ad-hoc introduction of the VP when necessary and supporting the Junior
- the Junior Retail manager, to enable her to manage at best the current retail network and broadening the retail network on small retail banking accounts
- the Junior Bill Payment and e-commerce manager to enable her to win local utility, telco and insurance companies
- Broadening our retail networks in Italy by originating and winning the biggest Italian retail accounts and broadening the banking network
- Representing Client in Italy at fairs both locally and internationally to create brand awareness of their core product “viacash”
Competencies:
- Years of professional experience: 6+
- Preferred universities: Bocconi, Politecnico di Milano (Management engineering)

- Excellent sales skills, such as business acumen and negotiation skills

Technical:
- Sales and management experience in start-up/scale-ups
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to develop a sales pitch presentations for fairs and international stages
- Ability to follow through system integration projects, able to define a business plan for his/her own account with regards to her own P&L
Languages:
- Italian native
- Fluent in English
Others:
- Well organized and capable to adapt quickly to new environments and cope with change
- Leadership required: no, but preferred
Location: Berlin, the company is available to consider the position based in Berlin for the first 18 months, then relocation depending on team decision
