Senior Hair Care Formulator 

Mission:

The role is focused on the creation of state-of-the-art formulas, from a  functional and sensorial perspective, in line with the company formulation philosophy and respecting the constraints of reproducibility, economicity and safety. Promoting, through constant research, formula and sustainability innovation, in line with Company KPIs will be your daily goal. You will be working closely with product manager and supply chain to ensure high quality product delivery; at the same time, you will be  promoting fluid collaboration with other departments in order to impact positively on processes and achievement of timely results. 

Duties and key Responsibilities:

• Your knowledge and expertise in hair care formulation, will allow you to be a key team member contributing with innovative ideas. Your strong communication skills will make you easily part of our strong team spirit and be pride in the organization’s contribution to the company;
• Formulate and facilitate the development of innovative hair care products, according to the marketing plan and in respect of timing deadlines;
• Identify and apply new and/or improved formulation technologies;
• Keep abreast with current market trends and interact, in a productive way, with the hair care marketing department;
• Define the specifications of products collaborating with the relevant departments;
• Being in constant contact with raw materials suppliers in order to identify relevant and achievable innovations;
• Be the supervisor of the quality of products through all the scale-up process;
• Effectively manage projects;

 This role will report directly to the R&D Manager. 

Person Specification and Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in developing hair care formulations;
• Bachelor/Master’s degree in a scientific discipline;
• Able to communicate with the team and to challenge yourself to constantly improve self and team knowledge;
• Able to work and interact as a team member with the transversal activities and entities to feel involved in the project group;
• Strong communication skills including the ability to manage in a clear and easy way technical language;
• Ability to work independently and to drive a project forward with minimum supervision;
• Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks;
• High organizational and priority management skills;
• Strong flexible and proactive attitude;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
