Global Business Development Manager Personal Care - Chemical

Job description

Our client is a global producer and chemical distributor supplying specialty chemicals to a variety of end markets. With subsidiaries in 3 continents and 3 production sites, the company offers global coverage, serving both local and multinational organizations.

Our search is addressed to a

Global Business Development Manager Personal Care 

with a solid knowledge and experience in the cosmetic and personal care raw materials market. He/she must have proven ability to build strong relationships with both suppliers and key accounts, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to succeed.   

Essential duties and responsibilities:  

  • Create and develop a clear business strategy to grant the business growth 
  • Cooperate closely with local offices for the strategy and business implementation
  • Leading organization optimization, including direct sales management and product management
  • Ability to generate, qualify, and prospect new Personal Care suppliers with the aim of constantly expanding the product portfolio with a focus on specialties
  • Build and further develop strong relationships with Key Accounts
  • Effectively lead teams to ensure that corporate initiatives are met
  • Cooperate closely with the marketing dept to enhance corporate image and market reputation
  • Set the local personal care targets and budgets and consolidate them at Group level 
  • Monitor the market and competition

Education and Experience: 

  • University degree, preferably in chemistry, biology, food technology, biosciences, economics

  • A proven track record of business success in commercial role in Personal Care ingredient Distributor
  • Deep understanding of the market trends and key players within personal care market space 
  • Able to construct and analyze sales numbers
  • Ambitious and talented person, passionate about the Personal Care market
  • Entrepreneurship, business acumen and ability to identify profitable commercial opportunities
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Goal-oriented and able to achieve tangible results

  • Excellent international and intercultural skills 
  • International negotiation security on all levels
  • Fluent in English

  Additional skills: 

  • Tech knowledge of the cosmetic formulations is a plus
  • Experience in Key Account management welcome
