Sales Manager - Life Science

Job description

On behalf of our client, a leading Italian company producing specialty chemicals for the Food, Beverage and Life science markets, part of a rapidly expanding international group, we are looking for a Sales Manager Life Sciences with the task of developing the business at a global level in the cosmetic, detergent, pharmaceutical, healthcare, agrochemical segments.

Within the Life Science Application BU, the candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Consolidation and development of the customer portfolio in Italy and abroad, including the management of local distributors
  • Preparation of the sales budget and forecasts
  • Development of commercial and operational marketing plans
  • Identification, in collaboration with the R&D function, of new products or technical applications designed to meet customer needs
  • Participation in trade fairs and sector events
  • Market analysis and competition monitoring and mapping
  • Sales reporting activities

 Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad.

Professional experience

previous experience in similar roles (5-8 years), gained with producers or distributors of chemical specialties

Soft skills

Strong commercial attitude and customer orientation, good technical skills, proactivity, dynamism and a mindset oriented to business development.

In addition, the candidate must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the attitude to operate in multinational contexts, participating in local and international intra-functional committees. 


Degree in scientific disciplines (chemistry, CTF, biology) or economics.Masters and / or specialization courses in economic-marketing or scientific disciplines are appreciated. 


English (fluent - mandatory), French (recommended), German (welcome)
