Technical Product Expert - Fintech

Our client is a  leading European open banking platform that provides the infrastructure and value-adding data products that are enabling the future of financial services. It’s products can be used to develop standalone services or be integrated into existing banking applications.  Its technology is enabling some of Europe’s biggest banks and fintech unicorns to embrace the new open banking world  and deliver the future of financial products to millions of people.

Within their growth and expantion project in Europe, we are supporting their startup in Italy and looking for the

Technical Product Expert

The position will report directly to the Italy Country Manager and functionally to the Director of Product Delivery. 

As one of the first members of Italian team the TPE will play an important role in establishing the Company on the Italian market.

Key responsibilities

Pre sales/technical sales support for the Italian market

Be expert in open banking, challenging, guiding and leading Client's transformation

Help potential customers understand:

  • how Company’s products work in depth
  • how Company can tap into their digital strategy and how Company can build value for them
  • the architecture of the Company platform in depth, and how to integrate with

Collaborate with Center of Excellence in HQ to share learnings, and constantly improve common material and way of working

Help Partners finding best-practice solutions to the use cases they have

Lead workshops with customers together with Partnership to a) upsell, and b) inspire roadmap

Source deciders and requirements from prospects and partners and convey back to the Product organization

Professional background

      5-6 years of experience in one of these business areas:

    • Sw house/consulting
    • Mobile App
    • Payments services
    • Platform/Technologies
    • Worked with Product Management, preferably for a digital product and hands on, close to the developers
    • Worked in a position with significant B2B customer interaction, preferably with a customizable and evolving product, requiring deep understanding of the customer needs
    • Experience from Fintech is meriting
    • Either tech background (developer/architect), with understanding of product and sales, or product background with tech depth

The Technical Product Expert represents a summary of the following  aspects:

  • Technical: IT experience in digital innovation / mobile app / cloud / and (ideally) Open API and open banking infrastructure
  • Product: customer & UX user experience / fintech services (payments innovation /money mgmt and data sharing)

Education/personal skills

  • Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory
  • Relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate long term business goals to technical solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to balance long term strategic work with operations and execution
  • Start-up mind-set, hungry, business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Self-starter“ who initiates new things, “hands-on approach“ with Communication and customer driven approach  & Technical project mgmt
  • Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills are an absolute prerequisite
  • Strong teamwork and people skills
  • Pragmatic thinker with strong interpersonal skills
