Head of Planning & Controlling - Financial Services

Job description

Our client is an international company leader in the financial services market. On its behalf we are looking for: 

Head of Planning & Controlling 

The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will manage a team of about 10 people. 

Main Responsibilities

Coordination of the  Planning and Controlling function through the preparation of the Annual Budget And Quarterly / Monthly Forecasts. 

Collaboration with the Head of  Administration for Monthly Accounting Closures (reporting package) and related variance analysis. 

Preparation of monthly reporting to the Group and to the main shareholders in coordination with the Regional Finance Office. 

Definition and monitoring of the Cost Structure (recovery costs, personnel costs and other administrative costs) and related deviations analysis, in collaboration with all the other departments. 

Support to the CFO  in the activity of continuous performance monitoring of the business: strong relationship  with the Direct Reports to the CEO, monitoring volumes of expected collections, monitoring of risks and opportunities. 

Preparation of Dashboards and KPIs to support the Senior Mgmt and the two Stakeholders Profitability Analysis and other ad hoc analysis  

Education & personal skill

Degree in Economic or Management Engineering

Excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral;

Strong managerial skills (previous experience in managing work groups),

Strong  team working attitude

Strong decision-making and organizational skills with a proactive attitude to problem solving;

Availability for regular trips to Rome 

Competencies

Prior experience of about 12-15 years gained at least half in the Controlling function covering managerial role in structured contexts operating in the financial services sector (preferably Leasing and Factoring Market)

Welcome experience on Credit Securitization

Good ability to use the MS Office package (Excel and PowerPoint);

Knowledge and application of Italian accounting standards and IAS; 

Working place: Milano/Rome
